At One Bracing, we offer a variety of pre, post and peri-surgical items, ranging from surgical water proof dressings to mobility aids. This equipment is designed to help activities of daily living and to aid through the healing process. Depending on your injury, surgery or general needs there may be different items required. We will work with you to determine what items will be most useful and will educate you on how to use them.
Surgical Supplies
Have an up-coming knee surgery? One Bracing offers all of the items on your surgical list under one roof. Everything from surgical water-proof dressings to protect the incision site to compression stockings to help with post-surgical swelling.
Walking boot
A walking boot is a special type of medical footwear prescribed to protect the foot and/or ankle. This biomechanical tool can be used after an injury or surgical intervention in the area. These boots may also be used to redistribute weight from one part of the foot to another. Depending on the injury or the recovery process, a doctor will prescribe either a short or a tall walking boot. They will also explain the length of time you are to wear the boot, as well as how much weight bearing is advised.
Injections
At One Bracing we offer a range of visco-supplement injections, as prescribed by a doctor. These range from hyaluronic acid to a hyaluronic/ corticosteroid combination supplement, depending on your needs and the concerns of your physician. Injections help to lubricate the area, increasing mobility and reducing pain, aiding those suffering from conditions such as osteoarthritis.
Mobility aids
Allow us to help you find the best mobility aid for either long-term daily use, pre/post surgery use and/or during injury recovery. Mobility aids, also known as ambulatory aids, assist with ambulation by enhancing a person's balance and their ability to bear weight. At One Bracing we have a variety of items, including: canes, 2-wheeled walkers, knee scooters, crutches, forearm crutches and walking poles.
Personal care aids
If your movement is limited during recovery, life style aids for the bathroom and car can make daily activities safer and more comfortable while you heal. Personal care aids can allow for patients to increase their freedom and independence, without impacting their ability to heal. Many of these items help support or limit range of motion and stress on the affected area. Items required or desired may range from patient to patient, or surgery to surgery. One Bracing offers a large assortment of post-surgical supplies, including firm foam cushions, raised toilet seats and toilet safety frames.
